All engineers utilised by Bostonair Ireland are subject to detailed reference and background checks prior to employment. Potential engineers are initially assessed by the Recruitment Team and if required by the Quality Manager and are required to submit a full suite of paperwork including Part 66 licence (if applicable), CV (in English), copies of type course certificates, compulsory training certificates (EWIS/HF Initial & Recurrent/Fuel Tank Safety), copies of personal logbooks (Signed/Stamped by supervisor), recency letters and copies of previous authorisations.
Bostonair Ireland will ensure that any requests for manpower from customers will be acknowledged within 24 hours (in a working week) by email and (depending on the requirement) every effort will be made to send CVs within 3 working days if not earlier for approval. Once CVs are approved by the customer, Bostonair Ireland will ensure (depending on individual circumstances – such as notice periods etc.) that contractors will be in the relevant requested location within 7 days. This may vary depending on the requirement provided and also the individual contractor’s situation.
To ensure that the engineers we supply are up to date with their mandatory certifications, Bostonair Technical Training has its own part 147 training approval. We can readily provide Human Factors, Fuel Tank Safety and EWIS online training. In addition we can also provide ETOPS, SMS and Dangerous Goods online courses, all our online courses are available 24/7 and easily accessed via our newly enhanced website https://bostonair.co.uk/technical-training/online-training/. Having this facility allows Bostonair Technical Training to rapidly provide logins and certificates once the contractor has completed the course. This is the most efficient way of learning possible.
